We just posted a very basic Intro to EWIs in general and the Sylphyo in particular. It's for our main audience - Native American flute players who attend our workshops and gatherings. I hope it represents the Sylphyo well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEEfnucCjEU

@clint Well done, good video, many informations. It´s a mess that I only have the Kontakt Player and can not use the samples.
        Greetings Friedus

@friedus Thanks for the feedback! I am looking into using Decent Sampler (which is free to download) ... but I'm not sure it has all the controls (envelopes and filters) that I use in Kontakt to make these sound libraries work ...

@clint Wow that is such a great idea in terms of preserving the sounds of these historical Native American flutes and an absolutely outstanding video, very impressive. You did an outstanding job explaining so that almost anyone can understand how this all works. I am watching and will rewatch this many times, close to 48 minutes and every second well spent. I too fell in love with the Sylphyo and ordered one right before I got the Anyma Phi, it was the sample sounds that were so impressive. You're making a very important point that the breath pressure isn't being designed for nor sampled like it should, nice to see how you're solving some of this with the breath curves. I also learned about back pressure plugs, I didn't know about those. You mentioned that the Yamaha VL70m uses equations, seems like a fuzzy logic type of approach. If I'm not mistaken this is also how the Anyma Phi works? I know that you're making your libraries free to download and of course we should mention this whenever we use them (Creative Commons Attribution) but is there also some way I could donate to the overall project? This is a very worthwhile project that you're involved with and I would like to contribute to it. Naturally I will get a copy of the Kontakt C platform which is required. Clint you're an amazing human being, so glad that I am getting to chance to learn from you. You're helping me become a better musician sort to speak by letting me stand on your shoulders.
