      Hi,

I've pretty much given up on using the Sylphyo wirelessly because the latency and jitter when using the Link is intolerable (the delay changes from moment to moment, ranging from fine to unusable). Does anyone have any recommendations on things to try? Running the latest firmware (the beta actually), using the Sylphyo as a midi controller for soft synths in ableton live on windows 10. It works fine via wired connection.

      Thanks!

have you tried switching cables and USB ports ? Did you get to try it on an other computer ?

@badblocks Hello! That is not normal at all the Link should give you no perceivable latency and no jitter. Can you try pairing your Sylphyo and Link again so that the wireless channel changes?
In case you need the procedure it is listed here: https://www.aodyo.com/faq-page-en-42.html

@support_aodyo Thank you, I will try it - for reference, what protocol(s) are being used? Wifi, bluetooth, radio?

@badblocks It is a modified wifi protocol.

@support_aodyo it appears to have mostly been a USB issue, moving the link to its own bus solved most of the problem. Still getting occasional drops/latency but I also practice next to my wifi router, so moving it will be the next thing to try.

@badblocks Can you try to pair the Link with the Sylphyo again as that will switch the wireless channels and should solve your issue?
Let me know if that works.

The Link uses the same frequency band as WiFi, Bluetooth, and other consumer electronics devices. It might be that your WiFi router and your Sylphyo/Link are trying to compete for the same channel, in which case the loudest wins (certainly your router). To improve things, you might want to try to pair your Sylphyo and Link again, so that they will settle on another channel. Unfortunately, the Sylphyo and Link cannot "see" the busy channels in the frequency band, so they settle on a channel if they manage to communicate successfully during the pairing process. You might need to try a few times before finding a channel far enough from your WiFi router.

@support_aodyo Point of order here. In English, if you say "repair" it means to fix something that is broken. What you mean here is re-pair, as in pair again.

@rick-novy Yes sorry about that! I've changed it.

Can you adjust the buffer size in Live? If so, try reducing it.
