Sylphyo Link wireless with another hardware synth/midi controller ?
-
Hi,
Let's say I have a Widi Master that I use with a Digitone, is the Sylphyo Link able to receive this bluetooth midi data and transmit it to a DAW for example (if the Link is connected to a computer) ? Or does the wireless connection only work with the Sylphyo ?
Thanks ! -
The Sylphyo/Link wireless connection doesn't use Bluetooth but a proprietary solution to get better latency and better range

Thank heavens!! The Link radio interface is far superior to Bluetooth ...
Note that the Link unit has a rather complex routing setup that opens up a lot of possibilities. I have used it in a number of cases to reduce the number of boxes I need for certain live setups. Here is a map I've done of the routings (using Aodyo documentation and my own testing). The MIDI section is on the right, the audio section is on the left, and the middle "Synth" section converts incoming MIDI (on four input channels) to Audio (using the same internal sounds as the Sylphyo, as long as you've installed the same firmware on both your Sylphyo and Link):

I have another question about midi with the Link : can it transmit the midi data from the midi in DIN through the midi out USB ?
Out of curiosity, I wanted to connect my Octatrack to my DAW and sequence softsynths via the Link (so midi out DIN from the Octatrack to the mini in DIN of the Link, then USB connection from the Link to the computer), but it doesn't seem to work.
Am I missing something or it is just not possible ? -

Works here. I tested with a MIDI controller to Link MIDI DIN and I get the data from Link MIDI USB to the computer.
(In case you think about DIN only: MIDI Thru via the two DIN connectors does not work)

@Peter-Ostry Dang, I did something wrong, I have to test it again. Thanks for your answer.
