Key reaction time 0 not usable?
-
(Firmware 1.4.8 on Link and Sylphyo)
When I set the key reaction time to 0 ms, my Sylphyo doesn't like me anymore. No legato playing possible and it misses many key changes. From 1 ms on it behaves normally.Not that I would need 0 ms, just thought that it should be a valid setting.

@peter-ostry Same "confused" results here using 0 ms [Keys / Reaction time] on v1.4.8.
Also, this test encouraged me to try Reaction time = 1 ms. This is noticeably different from 5ms ... a big improvement for me. I didn't realize how sensitive we are to a change in 4 ms latency.

@peter-ostry Hi Peter,
0ms key reaction time is definitely a valid setting. I use it on my Sylphyo.
Can you tell me what your other settings are? Especially octave key reaction time?Are you on the latest 1.4.8 version ?
Thanks!

Here are my settings, with same issue as Peter ...

@support_aodyo
Ha!
If key reaction time is 0 ms, then octave key reaction time must also be 0 ms. Feels like a bug, right?For me it is ok, I am new to the Sylphyo and currently see no reason to make the reaction slower than instantly.
To your other question:
I am on the latest 1.4.8 version, I think. Upgraded yesterday and the 'Diagnostic' functions says v1.4.8 -
@peter-ostry Key reaction and octave key reaction are independent.
In one of our betas we had this bug where the Sylphyo would go crazy when the key reaction was set to 0ms and the octave key reaction was higher than that, but we fixed it.
Could you try a factory reset or to reinstall the latest update from our website?I'll try to copy your settings @Clint and see if I can get this bug to appear on my end. Thanks!

@support_aodyo
Regarding factory reset: I do that quite often because I am working on a Max interface for the Sylphyo to control various synths with everything the Sylphyo offers.Regarding 1.4.8 upgrade: Did it again, behavior remains unchanged. Key reaction 0 requires octave reaction 0.
-
I concur with @Peter-Ostry ... Key Reaction = 0 seems to require that Octave Reaction = 0.

@clint I've been able to replicate this issue on my end. We'll have a closer look at it next week. Thank you for reporting this!
