@jjaylds At this point, fingerings can only be added / modified by Aodyo and distributed in a firmware update. The ability for users to add / modify fingerings has been requested and discussed, but there has been no action so far (that we know of).
An additional CC as indicator for the Roll direction left/right is not the best idea. Selectable CCs for left/right would be the way to go. Set them to the same value: play as usual. Set them different: You get one for Roll left and one for Roll right. Same for Compass.
Now I got the bottom of the fault!
The battery indicator AND the way of recharching it : after more or less 48h of recharching without any sign of the Sylphyo functioning, it finally started with full charge on the indicator!
Moral : don't trust it!
I just try the opportunity to "connect another controller to link" as said in the Link-user-guide.
And so, I try to control a software/vst with Ewi through Link.
@zelio This has always been possible under macOS. Most people with this issue are using Windows drivers that present this limitation.
In a future update we could maybe consider having a separate USB-MIDI device port dedicated to the editor (or if not possible at least let you dedicate an existing port to editor communication, which would prevent the port from being used for MIDI routing).
In the meantime you can leave the first USB-MIDI device port to the editor, and use the MIDI DIN ports for your DAW, as @frank suggested.
The Midi channels will be different for each note played, the CC are fixed
And since the Phi is in omni receive mode, all channels will be received.
since the Phi is monophonic one has to adapt the playing style to single notes,
Unles you wat to create a 4 voice or 8 voice Anyma Phi. Like Oberheim did with the 4 voice and 8 voice machine, constructed with 4 to 8 SEM modules. Will be interesting !!
a) Using external USB midi controller to play or remote control the Anyma Phi is the reason why we integrated a USB Host plug. Only thing to know is that we didn't had the chance to check every MIDI controller with the Anyma Phi but any class compliant USB MIDI controller should work.
We tested the Korg Nanostudio which is a superset of Korg Nanokey2.
b) MPE compatibility
As a monophonic synth, the Anyma Phi is not really MPE compatible but can be setup to behave as one MPE voice
c) yes adaptation of all the patch is possible to use the Piezo as a note trigger instead of external MIDI device
It wasn't practical explaining the whole thing in the release notes, but you can find them in the Fingerings section of the user guide. I've highlighted the changes in the picture below.
I would suggest, before doing so, writing down each and every setting you have. We currently have to restore those settings by hand since there is no SYSEX save / restore capability.
You might consider a document that shows which settings differ from the defaults so that you only have to set those settings which change from the Reset / Default values.
Hey Clint !
The Master of the Link !!
How many tries to get the good rendition ?
Ok, so, if I have well understood,
because of the mixing between A and L generating "whistles",
it's NOT possible to use LINE IN as an AUDIO INTERFACE for a PC/SoundHardware in the configuration : Sylphyo-Link-PC/SoundHardware ?
Select the patch you want to copy using the display encoder.
Press the display encoder and scroll down to Patch/Copy
Select the patch number you want to copy the patch to
Press the display encoder and scroll down to Patch/Paste

I'm the one who did the recordings and the sound programming/adaptations and...
I live in Amsterdam and would love to get in contact with other Sylphyo player for experiance exchange...

Please send us a mail to support@aodyo.com, with the version of the Anyma Phi firmware you're using, as well as the exact version of Windows and as much detail on your hardware as possible.
@fanch35 Personally, I think that some kind of breath adjustment is a requirement for the Sylphyo. I cannot imagine not playing without some restriction in the Bell Port.
If you surf around this forum, you will find numerous schemes for controlling breath volume and back pressure. I've posted a set of 3D printer files on Thingiverse. You can see all things related to the Sylphyo (by myself and others) with a search: https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=sylphyo&type=things&sort=relevant
However, I think your initial issue is still valid: there is a notable difference in volume across the internal sounds ... even with a breath restrictor ...
Well, the messages on the screen certainly suggest that's happening,
Sorry, I left it a bit unclear. Though the messages suggest the patch is being saved, it is not being saved. if you go to another patch, and come back, all you get is an initialised patch (sine wave). The only thing that has been saved is the name of the imported patch, everything else is gone.
Been playing with Reaction Time and Reaction Time Octaves and I'm getting the feeling that Reaction Time Octaves only comes in to play when I move from one thumb pad to another. My issue seems to occur mostly when I lift my thumb (and simultaneously change fingering on the front side).
In the fingering I'm using, lifting the thumb goes up an octave ... but this seems to use the Reaction Time delay and not the Reaction Time Octaves delay. Is that correct??
One solution is to introduce a very slight articulation to interrupt the airflow. I've started doing this subconsciously and this reduces artifacts (pops and beeps) substantially.
Merci pour la réponse, Je prend déjà le "Warn if unsaved" !
J'avoue que je serai ravi de l'amélioration du temps de passage entre les presets, ça m'évitera d'avoir une note entre 2 preset... :)
Sorry, but our desktop software does not support Linux (and even if we provide a Linux build of the latest Anyma Phi editor, we do not offer support for it).
If it doesn't appear to work with the latest version of wine, your best bet would probably be running it on a virtual machine.
Please send an email to support@aodyo.com about this and include pictures of the entire Diagnostics screen, which is located at the bottom of the Settings menu.
