Aodyo lives?
-
I think so , they wrote me an E.Mail with an overview of the last Posts in this forum. Not very many, I think. May be because nothing new happened. In 4 weeks it will be two and a half year since the last update for the Sylphyo ! They even don´t write what is going on. Very strange so I am not sure that the company is still living.

@Friedus I think, that nobody really knows, what is going on with Aodyo. The communication between Aodyo and its customers seems to be a desaster, but i hope, that Aodyo comes back.

They live. A new Update. Is it worth? we will see.

@StevieK I believe you are referring to the hardware update that included the ability to use internal sounds. THAT was huge. We all remember that time with misty nostalgia. Since then, we have been conditioned to accept no other hardware improvements., especially to the very restrictive key work options. By now, I would have expected they would have released an updated Sylphyo, with Bis keys, side keys and etc. But instead, we are stuck here in this reality.

@ErikOnSax Indeed, very disappointing. Years ago, they announced some work on a better mouthpiece. Instead, we got another synth, and there are so many (I have DynaSample, Ketron, and Yamaha, plus tons of soft synths). Meanwhile, Chinese competition is now getting stronger, and I am contemplating one of thy new controllers, like Robkoo R1.

5 years ago IMOX tried to create a new mouthpiece, the project was called Photon, but so far they have not released it, blaming the problems on shortage of some chips:

So many companies seem to end up like this. They start off with all the “we're doing this for you” stuff (no, they had an idea to make money) and when they get out of their depth or things go wrong, those who paid a LOT of money don't count at all. They'll probably start expecting us to feel sorry for them soon. Sure, that's startup capitalism, but they should be more honest to start with, especially to themselves.
