VST version of Anyma Editor
-
hello,
a VST / AU version of the editor will be planned ? -
+1, that would be very good !
-
At this point, we do not plan to release a VST/AU version of the Anyma Phi.
-
Hi @falkke i wonder what the advantage would be ?
It has to be compatible with the VTS host and i do not see the advantage : the standalone editor does all , does not it ?

Essentially, to work smoothly in a DAW. It would be a very huge improvement.
And also, maybe I'm mistaken and I don't have a good configuration, but the problem is you cannot work with the editor open and also have the Anyma Phi open as a hardware instrument (to send midi for example) in a DAW. For me, when the Anyma Phi is open as an external instrument in my DAW, the editor won't recognize it.

Hi @zelio
Do you connect both with USB : the editor and the daw ?
That does not work,
I cannot test : No Phi yet
I suggest you connect the editor with USB
and the DAW with midiMaybe Join can chime in ??
To me to have the editor in the DAW complicates matters.
Kind regards
Frank

@frank Yes I only tried with the usb connection but you might be right, I'll try later to connect both USB midi and midi DIN to see if that works.
Thanks for your advice ! -

@zelio This has always been possible under macOS. Most people with this issue are using Windows drivers that present this limitation.
In a future update we could maybe consider having a separate USB-MIDI device port dedicated to the editor (or if not possible at least let you dedicate an existing port to editor communication, which would prevent the port from being used for MIDI routing).
In the meantime you can leave the first USB-MIDI device port to the editor, and use the MIDI DIN ports for your DAW, as @frank suggested.
