Feature Request: Please add Pitchbend to MIDI mappings
-
CC 1-119 and Aftertouch are currently available in Sylphyo MIDI mappings.
Could you please add Pitchbend to the mappings?Explanatory statement:
Pitchbend down by slider and pitchbend up by key-bend (beta) is nice, a little coarse and requires acrobatic finger movements. On every other instrument pitchbend is much easier to handle. Now I found out that using "Roll" works pretty good for pitchbend. Set to bidirectional and a range of 5-10° bends smoothly and quick enough for most music and ist much easier to play. This is a welcome relief especially for pieces with many bends. Neutral position is effortless due to the built-in hysteresis (kind of "platform" in center position). As an added value, if we had pitchbend available in all mappings, players could also use it for slower and more generous movements with elevation or compass, even breath force. And maybe an important possibility for many of us: easy pitchbend during fast fingertechniques like trills and mordents. Currently I convert in software from the Roll-CC to pitchbend but I think pitchbend should be in the mapping for universal usage. -
Thanks for the suggestion! Duly noted.
