Question about "Always on" and "LED"

Two Sylphyo questions.

Menu page "Movement", last setting: "Always on"
I wanted to use "Always on" for Roll and Compass control (MIDI out). But the function only works when the "Absolute" setting is ON. Is this intentional? The manual doesn't mention a dependency.

Main menu page, Wireless: "LED"
What is the "LED" setting supposed to do? The light on the Link box does not change.

@peter-ostry On the LED setting: it is only for the Snow edition. Only that edition has a LED. I too was confused about this and asked a while back in https://community.aodyo.com/topic/546/led-setting/5
