Crackle on Phi Atmosphere patch.
-
I am going midi out Deluge to Phi in. Phi audio out to bluebox. As I play my sequence back it randomly crackles kind of like issues with VSTs on computers sometimes. Haven’t tried other patches to compare as I’m working on a song but wondered if anyone else is hearing this. Not consistent in same spot of sequence, it varies. Any ideas? Btw I updated to 1.0 today.
Thanks,

Did you encounter the crackling issue before updating to v1.0?
-
No, but I was not using this patch. I’ll do some more testing today on other patches.

Ok I ran my sequence through the first 21 patches and it only happens on Atmosphere. Maybe 1 time in a 4 minute song. Like DSP overload crackling. It is a pretty intense patch.

Atmosphere is near the edge of the Anyma Phi's processing power, but it shouldn't normally crackle. If you bypass the reverb, I guess the crackling would go away? Could you please try that, and maybe share your sequence as a MIDI file? Thanks.

Sure, give me a bit of time. I was trying other patches last night and found a couple more but I want to make sure it is happening inside the unit rather than something between the Phi and the Bluebox. It does seem to happen when I have intense MIDI information going into maxed patches. I ran through all the patches and found that it happened on 24, 26, 53, 54 and 63. Maybe there is something in common on those patches. I'll do some more testing after work tonight. BTW some incredible sounds and amazing modulation possibilities in the new patches. I get distracted from testing as I keep coming up with cool riffs that I want to record and go down rabbit holes. Cheers

I did some more testing and I'm sure it is coming form Phi. Out both phones and L and R out. I tried reducing both FX on the patch but it is still crackling. I'll try to get the MIDI exported from the Deluge so you can see. I can also provide a sound file if you wish.
