Sylphyo won't save base settings
-
My Sylphyo is having a problem.
I want to save the base settings when I change them.
I notice the base key is set to Db3.
I want to change it to C3. I'll hold the "AYO" button, to go to quick settings.
I'll touch the top octave to open the "Base key" screen and touch the "-" settings key to change the base key.
I'll release the "AYO" button and see the message "SAVED!" at the bottom of the screen.
But when I turn the Sylphyo off and back on, the base key has not been changed. It is back to Db3.
How can I fix this problem?

@wwoodard8 I've had similar issues a total of twice in two full years of playing my Sylphyo. Both have been fixed by a full reset on the instrument.
Make sure you write down all your settings (there are a lot of them, when you include all the sub-menus, but it is a worthwhile exercise, and you will need them to set up your Sylphyo after the full reset (they will all return to factory defaults).
I do take this list with me to gigs, in case a reset is needed (it's never happened).
I hope this helps!

@Clint Well, the reset worked. Back to normal now. Whew... Thanks for the advice!

@wwoodard8 First time was nerve-wracking for me. Second time was a minor speed bump ... was back up in 4 minutes ...
-
@Clint Exactly why we need the function to save the settings to an external device, and to restore to Sylphyo...

It really lacks a small utility on PC and Mac to configure and record all the parameters of the Syphyo.
I am ready to put a silver piece in a kickstarter to do it ... but I saw that the attention of Aodyo is rather Anyma than Sylphyo! -
Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de réaction ni de Aodyo ni des utilisateurs.
Après c'est pas ce qui nous empêche de jouer, mais ce serait sympa. -
@reidid789 A tool for configuration of the Sylphyo would be great, and it has been suggested and discussed before. (I can't immediately locate the discussion).
I think the issue is that sending any data upstream to the Sylphyo would be a big development project in the firmware ...

It is true, Clint, that when we suggest something in development, I do not measure the amount of work that this represents for for example Aodyo.
By cons I measure very well the work that the creation of Anyma Phy or Omega represents. And I deduce that Aodyo now privileges the creation of Synthe rather than the development of Sylphyo.
I reopen the debate but what interests me is that the Sylphyo becomes better rather than buying another synth ...
