Hacking is the act of discovering and exploiting flaws in a computer system or network in order to gain unauthorized access to personal or organizational data. Hackers are divided into three types: black hat, white hat, and grey hat. Essentially, the type of hacker is determined by their motivation and whether or not they are breaking the law. White hat hackers are considered ethical hackers, whereas black hat hackers have malicious intent. Gray hat hackers fall somewhere in the middle.
