Hallo to all from Aodyo team,
After three days of using the Anyma Phi, there was a issue. At the start the booting seqvention stop on "loading bank...".
I try update, but after copy of 45% volume of anymaphi-v0.8.80.ayo file, process also froze.
Do you have any suggestions on how to put it into operation?

@toff Hello! When updating, make sure your Anyma Phi is plugged in directly to your computer (And not through a dongle or an adapter)

I used original cable which was in box with Anyma Phi for connection. Anyma Phi is directly plugged to PC. I used for supply the original power source with short cable.

The first issue were and stil is that Anyma Phi after start write "loading bank..." and it's all... nothing next step.

          I tried update:
Power on whith holding Shift buton -> the connection between PC and Anyma Phi is establieshed, the removable disk named ANYMAPHI is visible. But after copy of 45% volume of anymaphi-v0.8.80.ayo file to ANYMAPHI, process also froze.

The next steps which I tried:
Power on whith holding button Animate - also frozen on "loading bank..."
Power on whith holding button Global - again frozen on "loading bank..."

Please, do you still have any options for recovery before I send Anyma Phi back for a complaint?

For issues like this, it's best that you send a mail to support@aodyo.com.

You will need to try again with updating until it succeeds.

On some operating systems, it's normal that the copy freezes for about a minute, but it completes eventually, and only then should you eject the ANYMAPHI disk. Ejecting the disk is also very important, as some operating systems wait until ejection to actually write the information on the disk.
Anyway, you can get information about what's really going on on the display of your Anyma Phi, which will show progress bars as well.

If you still don't manage to update, please try with another mini-USB cable, and with another computer or operating system, and please report back to us at support@aodyo.com what you tried and what worked and didn't, with details for your computer and operating system.

@ToFF I'm having the same issue as you. Frozen at startup with "Loading bank" displayed. Did you ever find a way to fix it?

Also I'm running the latest firmware and everything. Everything's been working fine up to this point for 1½+ years.

I think the issue might be with the power supply cable, it keeps loosing power and rebooting when just I barely wiggle the power cord. Not the most reliable when playing live.

It sounds like the DC jack socket has broken away from the pads on the PCB, making only an intermittent contact. Fixing that should be fairly simple, but it remains to be seen if it cures the other problem.

@AndyHornBlower Thanks for inspiring me to open it up and having a looksie!
I found a loose PCB (the one with T and P label on it) that I had to push down back onto its pins again and now it starts up perfectly.

@drfritzon Cool. I'm glad you've got it working.

That seems like a problem that could happen in shipping, so maybe it explains a few of the similar problems that have been reported. It could conceivably work okay for a while then work looser and become intermittent, or just stop working.

Moving PCBs are a design flaw. Is there no way to keep them in place? With a screw in the right place or something.

I don't have an Anima Phi, but in the photo I see three large copper rings on the PCBs, like the ones usually used for retaining screws. Are they not in the right place, or not in use at all?

                          Hi @drfritzon
I didn't fix it myself. I didn't have the courage to open the anima phi.

I sent it to the guys at Adiyo who sent it back to me fixed. Unfortunately, they didn't describe exactly what the problem was.

I haven't had this problem since. I just got a whistling sound that disappeared again. Otherwise I am satisfied.
Anyma Phi SE from kickstarter campaign should come to me, so I'm looking forward to it.
