@maxence822 Did you try it out so far? I'm curious, how it works... My husband owns a Microbrute... I think, I should hijack it and try it out myself. .. ;-)

RE: Ethnic Vst Instruments library for Sylphyo
@flautista I think, you simply need to try it. It works different with every VST and you need to experiment with the settings. I own a "Native Instruments Maschine MK3" that runs as plugin inside my Bitwig Daw. There are some cool Loops and Ethnic Instruments inside the "Maschine" system , some run in Kontakt Player. I don't use the real "Kontakt" so far, only the K. Player, so there are some settings, I can't change. But
I think you should be able to find cool instrument sets at "Native Instruments" site. I have a "Ney", for instance, that sounds and performs great with the Sylphyo. But the main thing is - I'm all about experimenting. -
RE: Cleaning inside
No, I sadly have no satisfying solution for cleaning the Sylphyo inside. Meanwhile I use this "Cleaning-Device" (don't know the name) of a recorder, I bought it at the local music shop. Nevertheless, the Sylphyo seems to be not evenly constructed, but kind of structured. So I don't have the feeling, it is cleaned properly. I leave it open at the mouthpiece and let it dry.
If someone has a better idea, please let me know.
For the Oboe-Cleaner: the hole at the bottom of my S. is definitely to small, to run s.th. through it. I can only clean the S. from the top, and then a few cm down.Greetings... :-)

RE: Cleaning inside
Hello, it´s me again :-) with a question about cleaning the Sylphyo. Meanwhile I played my instrument for longer periods and- of course- it developed condensation water.
I bought a soft recorder cleaning stick an cleaned it carefully from the top. But still there ist the problem, that at the "bottom part" of the Sylphyo, condensation water is running out while playing a while.
As the hole in the bottom ist quite narrow (about 5 mm), I did not manage to pull a soft cloth through the Sylphyo- and I was afraid, to break some parts inside.
Could you please tell me, where in the inside of the wind channel are the "sensors" or kind of delicate parts, where I should be careful? As well, after playing the instrument, I´m concerned about the fluid, that is left inside from playing the instrument (the condensation water...), can it harm the electronics, when I put down my Sylphyo? Where exactly are the sensitive electronics located, I should be extra careful with?
Thank you so much for an answer!(By the way, I have so much fun with my Sylphyo...!)

Update- first impression
Meanwhile I updated my Sylphyo and I love the improvements. It seems to me, the responsiveness is even better - and there are more possibilities added, to communicate with my various different sound sources. Great!
I'm absolutely enthusiastic about the "left pinky/ half tone down" function. I use it with recorder fingering. It makes me play the instrument so much more "organic" and naturally. As it was my issues/ request- thanks so much for solving it!! :-)I'm looking forward for upcoming news and especially the sound extension card, you are working on. I will definitely puchase as soon as it is available. :-)
Greetings from Germany and thanks for your great work,

RE: Recorder fingerings issues
Actually I did not find the time to update my Sylphyo, but I'm so looking forward to do it soon, when I got vacation. I read in the release notes, that you installed a possibility to change the left Pinky function to "flat" instead of "Sharp". Thanks so much!! I'm so excited to try it out!

RE: Un moyen de fixer le sylphyo autour du coup ? A way to hang the sylphyo like a saxophone ?
I agree with your point and would find it very useful indeed. As I play different instruments, a possibility of really quickly changing the instrument , but having the Sylphyo "nearby" would be welcome.

RE: Recorder fingerings issues
Thank you so much for your reply! I would love it, if you consider this option- half tone lower. I spoke with some friends about my issued, who play flute and recorder, some play in a woodwind ensemble. They had the same thoughts about it. So I think, a recorder fingering with "half tone lower" could be definetely interesting for other recorder players as well, to play kind of more fluidly.
Thanks so much for considering the possibility.

Recorder fingerings issues
Meanwhile I bought a Sylphyo and I love it. I'm looking forward to buy the sound extension card and the active mouthpiece, when you're finished...
What I noticed, confusing me, is the fingering of "Recorder"... When you play a recorder, it is generally like: close a hole with the finger and the note/ tone becomes lower...open a hole, the note becomes higher. In general- the more holes- beginning from the side of the mouthpiece of a flute - are closed, the lower a note becomes...
The sylpho performs it the other way round, when it comes to the half tone button at the side. When you push/ touch (like close...) the half tone button at the side, the Sylphyo performs a half tone higher, not lower. That is quite confusing to me while playing. I have played recorder for many years, and I thinking I could play the Sylphyo way more fluidly, if the side-button (half tone button) would set the tone half a note lower.
Is there a possibility for me to change the "program" of this button in this way (half tone lower)?
Or do you have a special reason, why you have chosen this function (half tone higher)? Thanks so much for a reply and greetings from Germany! (And I have fun with the Sylphyo anyway...!! It performs great connected with my Roland JD Xi. I love it!)

@join thank you so much for your fast reply!!
I'm looking forward to buy a Sylphyo now and have fun. :-) Greetings, mosquito -
RE: Cleaning inside
I have a second question concerning the "extension card": If I would purchase a Sylphyo now, will I be able to build in the "extension card" to my Sylphyo on my own, or is it necessary, to send the Sylphyo to you/ to a service center/ bring to my local store (musicstore in Cologne is nearby), so they build it in
.
Thanks so much for a reply, because I really want to buy one soon... :-) :-) -
Cleaning inside
I'm thinking about buying a Sylphyo soon, but there is one important question left for me. How about cleaning the instrument from the inside, where the air flows through. Our breath contains moisture. As I played recorder flute for many years, I know how important it is to clean the flute, avoid keeping moisture in the inside. Also it seems important to me to keep the instrument hygienic. What can you tell me about this issue? Thanks for a reply, mosquito
