RE: MIDI and Editor help
I watched the Loopop YouTube video where he has a single USB cable plugged in and he is using ALL of his controllers to play the device at the same time as having the editor open. I assumed I would be able to get this same setup? Is this because he is using Mac?
I can not plug one of my controllers directly into the Anyma Phi (either by USB host or MIDI din) as all my controllers are connected together, I do not want to dedicate a MIDI controller to my Anyma Phi when I have lots of other synths that need to use them too.
I have other synths like PolyBrute and Analog RTHM etc that can connect to the computer via USB and at the same time control the synth using the software and send MIDI all through the one cable. So I guess I just assumed (also watching the Loopop video) that it could all be done through 1 USB cable. So in short, it is not possible for me to play the synth at the same time as using the editor? (unless I dedicate one of my MIDI controllers to the Phi)
That is a shame. -
MIDI and Editor help
I need help please 🙏🏼
I have connected my Anyma Phi to the computer using the USB cable (supplied), I open MIDI-OX and send MIDI to the device using the USB cable. It works as expected.
BUT then I cannot use the editor software at the same time. If I try first to connect the editor software, it works as expected, but then if I try to connect the MIDI, I get an error message about not having enough memory.
Am I right in saying that the editor and MIDI input cannot run at the same time?
I also tried connecting a MIDI cable to the device, but this would not work at all (no idea why)My goal is to use the editor at the same time as playing the instrument using a MIDI controller (ideally USB, but open to suggestions)
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
