I had the same issue hen I first got mine and yes I too sorted it by changing the thumb size. I have set mine so that to pitch bend down I just roll my thumb down from where I naturally have it at the thumb rest of the instrument. Then if I want to pitch bend a note upward I start the note with my thumb in the roll down position and roll it back up to the thumb rest of the instrument. This seems to work well although sometimes the slider seems to loose its start setting and the pitch bend only works halfway down the slider. When this happens I lift all fingers off the sylphyo for a few seconds at the first opportunity, then carry on playing. This seems to recalibrate the setting and all is good again.

@flautista I think, you simply need to try it. It works different with every VST and you need to experiment with the settings. I own a "Native Instruments Maschine MK3" that runs as plugin inside my Bitwig Daw. There are some cool Loops and Ethnic Instruments inside the "Maschine" system , some run in Kontakt Player. I don't use the real "Kontakt" so far, only the K. Player, so there are some settings, I can't change. But
I think you should be able to find cool instrument sets at "Native Instruments" site. I have a "Ney", for instance, that sounds and performs great with the Sylphyo. But the main thing is - I'm all about experimenting.

Ok. I agree. A battery-powered USB charger is a good solution. Than you for your quick answer.

@join Well, I am no sure. One option, as you has said, is to chose only one escale each time (c mayor, a minor, g mayor and so on). The other idea would be to use the 8 keys, each one for 1 note. And the 3 position of the the octava key for 3 other notes. And the slider for another note. This way we have the 12 notes!

We didn't start to work on such topic because there was enough work providing more fingering first before trying to provide a new one dedicated to the Sylphyo. In any case, such a fingering, should be based on an existing instrument with some additional fingerings (in a similar manner as what we did first with the recorder fingering that tolerates both modern and baroque recorder fingering altogether, with some sax and clarinet player friendly additional fingering). Maybe we would need to setup a fingering editor first to be able to experiment on such a topic.

@flautista We are about to revise the Flute fingering for an upcoming release.

We tried to improve it by adding much of the standard and alternate fingerings, but we feel that between the highest A and the high C (similar position as in the recorder, XoxoOooX), the high C should take precedence because it is closer to actual flute fingerings.

So from the upcoming release onwards, you will have to let go of the thumb key to perform the highest A. In other words, XoxoOooX will do a C1, and OoxoOooX will do a A1.

I hope it sounds reasonable to you!

Yes, this is on our roadmap. Probably, hardware version first, then virtual version ...

Flutter-tongue, really? I have been doing that on EWI for decades! It is so very easy. Try growling. It also works well on EWI, especially on the older analog-styled 3000m to 3030 modules.
