I seem to have a problem with thumb-rolling pitch bend. It should bend down (standard setting) but when I start to play, it often refuses to bend. I have to tap or slide a little on the strip and eventually the bend starts working and then it continues to work. Did not find a reliable method yet.

Is there a common gesture you use to "initialize" pitch bend before you play or do I just need practice to place my thumb more exactly when I pick up the Sylphyo?

@peter-ostry At first I had the same feeling, the more I use it, the more comfortable I am with it. The Sylphyo Bench is a good tool to see what's happening while I'm playing and improve my technique. something inspiring -> Youtube Video

@david-lazzi Thanks, I know this video and already managed to use key-pitchbend according to Pedro's suggestions.

Sylphyo Bench does not run well on my machine but I have my own Max interface for optical feedback. There I see that the thumb-rolling bend does not always work initially.

But I think you are right, it should get better over time when I learn to set my fingers more accurately. I am not used to touch buttons yet.

@peter-ostry The bend should work pretty reliably. Can you try setting the edge size to be a little bit bigger (±12mm ?) so that it is a bit more forgiving?

@support_aodyo Yes, I think I was too early with narrow thumb space. It takes a while to handle that.
