      Hello Happy Sylphyonistes !

      Link-user-guide :
Page 10 "connect another controller to link"
"If you haven't MIDI DIN 5 pins...use the USB host..."

OK, I use the USB Host to connect my Ewi Solo to the Link.
And the Link is connected to my PC with USB power supply.
Idea is to control Reverso / EVI-NER / ... with Ewi via the Link.

      Result : KO.
Reverso / EVI-NER /... recognise the Link but don't recognise CC signal (it's my interpretation : no activites of controls, no sounds).

PS : OK with the CC channel (2 for the both).

Any idea of wat is wrong ?

        Hi @fanch35

USB has two types of devices : A device : and a host

If the machine you want to connect to is a Device , you need a Host adapter

I do not know what a Reverso is but, if you plug it in acomputer and works, most probably it behaves as a device..

        Maybe this helps

        Regards

        Frank

          Hello Fanch35,

First question: if you want to control Reverso or EVI-NER from your EWI Solo, why don't you plug the EWI Solo directly to your computer (which would be the easiest way).

As you connected your EWI to the USB Host Port, this should work unless the EWI Solo does not send any CC ???

Maybe you should check the type of MIDI signal sent by the EWI Solo with a Midi Monitor Software.

One thing though: if you intend to use both Sylphyo and EWI Solo from the very same Link connection there could be a trap there.
If the Sylphyo is configured to send CC11 as breath message and the EWI solo send CC02 and both are active, it could be that the EWI Solo is sending the correct message to Reverso and EVI-NR but as the Sylphyo has sent a CC11 with 0 value, this would lead to a 0 volume setting.
In such case assigning different MIDI channel to Sylphyo and EWI could be the solution.

            Thanks Frank and Laurent

I just try the opportunity to "connect another controller to link" as said in the Link-user-guide.
And so, I try to control a software/vst with Ewi through Link.

            OK, it's a bit ... huummm

Yes, Ewi direct in computer : it's OK.

PS : sorry it's Respiro (and not Reverso...)
