RE: Sylphyo broken? (SOLVED: non-working B-stock sold as working instrument, returned to store)
@robst247 ... and now there's another malfunction. It's happened twice so far. When I switch the Sylphyo on, instead of the normal display I get a thin white stripe at the bottom with the message:
TOUCH INIT
When I press the little recessed button with a pointed implement, the Sylphyo starts up normally.
But this shouldn't be happening. Right? Can I send this Sylphyo to you for repair or replacement? The serial number is: AS01109

RE: Sylphyo broken? (SOLVED: non-working B-stock sold as working instrument, returned to store)
@paul-flute Hi Paul - I have indeed tweaked quite a few menu parameters, but even though I do a factory reset, the Sylphyo keeps going into strange malfunction states where certain keys do not work. Today it was the octave keys. And I can't seem to charge the battery to the point where the indicator shows that its full. Maybe I just have a defective battery.
I certainly cannot play it for 5 hours without problems occurring. It's going back to the shop - I'm tired of it. -
RE: Sylphyo broken? (SOLVED: non-working B-stock sold as working instrument, returned to store)
@join My Sylpho's battery indicator is showing a lightning-flash symbol AT ALL TIMES, even when the charger is not connected!
I've done several factory resets, but now it's malfunctioning in another, new way: the octave keys are not working and I cannot even select menu items. Clearly, it's broken. :-( -

RE: Sylphyo broken? (SOLVED: non-working B-stock sold as working instrument, returned to store)
@paul-flute The charger I'm using is a Samsung Travel Adapter (standard smartphone charger) rated at 5.0V 2.0A. I did a 48-hour uninterrupted charge, which brought the Sylphyo back to life. :-)
Now, after less than 2 hours playing, the battery level indicator has changed to a lightning-flash symbol. Does this mean that I need to charge for 8 hours?
Also, a couple of times I have had the same problem that touching some keys didn't cause note/pitch changes. Does this normally occur when the battery is nearly empty?
Typically, how many hours can the Sylphyo be played before it needs recharging?Best regards,

Sylphyo broken? (SOLVED: non-working B-stock sold as working instrument, returned to store)
I have just purchased and received a Sylphyo for a reduced price. (It's a B-stock article: the previous purchaser returned it, the packaging was damaged and there was no 5V adapter for charging it. I thought it would be a good deal.)
Earlier today, I played it for an hour or so, then it started malfunctioning. Some keys started playing the wrong pitches. I had to turn the instrument off and on again to reset it, after which it worked OK for a while. This happened a few times. Then the display suddenly went dark and the instrument no longer started up when I switched it on.
Obviously, I thought the battery was just discharged, but even after being plugged into my 5V smartphone charger or a USB port of my laptop for several hours, the Sylphyo would no longer start up when I switched it on. It seems to be dead. :-(
Also, while it was charging (or while I thought it was charging), there was no indication on the display that it was actually charging. Is this normal?
What do you think? Is it broken, or can I somehow bring it back to life?
I think I have to return it to the store for a refund, but maybe you know another option.
All help will be greatly appreciated.
