@Peter-Ostry It looks like Imoxplus have already designed an adapter for the Sylphyo, for a later version of the Photon prototype. Version 2 (or maybe 3 or later?).
Pedro Eustache shows the Photon v2 on his Sylphyo in the YouTube video, linked below.

@Gromit Ah, well, interesting. I would really like a bite controller :)
Maybe one day, Rudy at Imoxplus and the rest of the Photon team will be able to get the Photon manufactured. They still cannot source any PSOC microprocessors from Cypress.
According to Rudy,
"The Photon offers you CC's for- Breath out (blow)
- Breath in (suck)
- Tongue position (moving your tongue inwards or outwards)
- Lower Lip tension (pitch bend control with lower lip)
- Upper Lip position (shifting your mouth further or deeper on the mouthpiece)
- Vocal amplitude (making a vocal sound while blowing)
- Each sensor can be configured individually with curves, midi channel, smoothing etc...
- Up to 32 mouthpiece configurations (presets) can be stored in the photon and recalled using program changes
- Hires midi output can be activated for each sensor individually
- Adjustable breath flow (resistance)
- etc.".
The Photon would attach to a Sylphyo in place of the Sylphyo's mouthpiece.
Air blown into the Photon mouthpiece by the musician does not pass through the Sylphyo. It exits straight back out of the Photon again. The Sylphyo just detects the notes that are being played. The Photon's MIDI data and the Sylphyo's MIDI data (the notes fingered (and motion control?)) are merged to drive apps such as Respiro from Imoxplus or SWAM. External MIDI synths too, I believe. -
RE: Under the Blue Ring
As is clear from Clint's pictures of his Sylphyo, the connector for the active mouthpiece is not actually fitted in the production Sylphyos but the moulding is there for it.

RE: Under the Blue Ring
@wwoodard8 Aodyo were working on their own design of active mouthpiece back at the time of the original Indiegogo fund-raising campaign.
It would appear that sadly, insufficient funds were raised to provide for the active mouthpiece to be made available as an option. Here is a note from the Indiegogo campaign updates, from Jun 19, 2015.
"Following some feedback from last Musikmesse, and some request during this campaign, we decided to provide one new expansion port in the Sylphyo to allow future alternate active mouthpieces. Here are the first preliminary preview about how it should work (here with a preliminary sax/clarinette type mouthpiece) to allow extra control on sound from reed pressure:".
It would appear that in the production version of the Sylphyo, a decision was taken to shift the active mouthpiece's connector to the rear, display side? -
RE: Warming up with the Sylphyo
I wonder if Sylphyo sound #10 - Electro Fuse, might come close?
In the Sylphyo User Guide, Electro Fuse is described as, "A sound for guitar heroes, overdriven to the extreme, with plenty of feedback that you can accurately control just by moving your instrument around.".Here is Aodyo's YouTube official video demonstrating the Electro Fuse sound.

RE: Sylphyo to enter scores with the MuseScore application ?
@Jean-Louis In your original post, you asked the question, "All this without having to use the LINK box?".
Yes, you could connect the Sylphyo direct to your computer using a USB cable. -
RE: Sylphyo to enter scores with the MuseScore application ?
This may not be of great help.
Below is a link to a YouTube video from the very helpful Alistair Parnell, setting up a rival scoring program, Sibelius, to accept input from a wind controller from another company.
Maybe some of the settings would be similar to the ones needed in MuseScore with the Sylphyo?

@Peter-Ostry thank you for such an informative and helpful reply.
Despite your worries about Aodyo beating you for it, your perspective has actually made me want the Sylphyo and Anyma Phi even more.
To begin with, while I mostly play clarinet, I've dabbled with recorder and ocarina too, and enjoy these lighter airflows (and if it can be put in competition with electric guitar levels, even better!). It's the natural connection between the breath and the instrument that I'm looking for, which it sounds like Sylphyo has in abundance.
Also, thanks for checking out my YouTube channel. I'm actually looking to have two sides to my output, the "natural" interface of the acoustic clarinet through pedals and the "digital" via wind controller. So the synthetic quality of the Anyma Phi isn't a problem, but a advantage.
Just to clarify a couple of things: You mention the Sylphyo having both sideways roll and compass (sideways angle) - these are two different things? Also, you mention the Sylphyo sounds being the "smaller", medium synthetic versions of sounds that Anyma Phi does better. Does this mean that the same preset sounds are in both devices, at different resolution levels, or am I misunderstanding?
I've been looking into some of the other sound sources you mention, and am noticing that the Anyma Phi seems to straddle the line between a digital pedal and synth software. Would agree with this observation? This might be exactly what I need.
Also, I will be taking your advice and getting the link too. My thanks again.
@TheSongSystem
Roll control is rotating or rolling the Sylphyo, clockwise or anticlockwise in your hands, compass control is turning to face in a different direction.
The second part of this Aodyo video shows the player rolling the Sylphyo.
Please read section "2.6 Elevation, roll and compass control" in the Sylphyo user guide for an explanation of the differences between roll and compass control.
I would also recommend that you look at the rest of section "2 Playing the Sylphyo" which is also very helpful. -
RE: Link & sounds
@ebo You're welcome.
My Link shows up in the MIDI Studio window of the Audio MIDI Setup app, on my Mac as "Sylphyo Link" when the Link is plugged in to my Mac via the Link's "USB power supply" mini USB socket and switched on. Have you tried using the same USB to mini USB cable which successfully updated your Sylphyo? If you are still getting nowhere then contact Aodyo support via email. They'll probably want the Link's serial number off the sticker on it's base.
